Cinder and Ella by Kelly Oram

   Cinder and Ella. This book is already published in 2014 and I can't believe I just came across to this book this year. This book totally got me hooked, I did not even want to put it down.

    The story starts from a girl named Ellamara. She lives in Boston only with his mother because her father left her. She has a friend whom she knows from the internet, named Cinder. Ella and Cinder have been best friends for long but they never met, yet. They are bonding through a fantasy book series "The Cinder Chronicles". Yo know what? Ellamara is one of the characters in the series, but Cinder? sadly no. Cinder is only his online name, it's not his real name though.  Ella doesn't even know what his real name is. She only knows that this Cinder - her best friend- is sorta have connection in Hollywood. On her birthday, Cinder wants to give Ella a gift, it's that Cinder Chronicles book with a signature of the writer. Unfortunately, Ella got an accident on her birthday. Ella's life is gotten worse since that. Her mother's dead, she got burn and she's cripple. She is even suicidal. And worst, she has to move with his father and his new family. 


This is one of the story retelling novels I like because contrary to the popular believe that step mothers are all wicked, in this novel Ella's stepmother is not wicked just a bit tight and her step sisters are not evil either.
